Psychotherapy

Over the years I have learned that therapy can happen anywhere…online, in a park under a tree, the lobby of the courthouse, a homeless shelter, a jail cell, or a beautifully decorated office. The key is an authentic therapeutic relationship, built on trust, respect, and a little bit of magic.

Let’s chat! If I’m not the right fit for you, I’ll help link you with a member of my talented professional network!

Clinical Mentorship

As someone who was fortunate to have incredible mentors, I KNOW how much of a game changer it is to have someone in your corner.

I offer pre-licensure clinical supervision, general clinical mentorship, and with enough interest, small groups. Spring 2025-EMDR required certification consultation hours will be available.

Let’s build a plan that reflects you unique interests!

Courses

Get up to date on the most current research on the physical, emotional, and spiritual impact of trauma. Content is linked with real clinical scenarios (shared with permission and details changed).

I have been a busy clinician trying to fit in trainings-I promise to pack as much into this content as possible so the time you spend it impactful.

What’s exposure, and why it is important for trauma recovery?

As I began focusing on trauma recovery, I learned pretty quickly that something was missing from the interventions I used as a generalist therapist: exposure. Wise clinical mentors taught me to help people face what they feared, empowering them, and making it possible for them to go beyond symptom reduction, trimming branches, to long term healing, treating the problem at the roots.

Through the use of evidence-based treatments like Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems Therapy I now help people process trauma in the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. By working through their most painful experiences with me in the therapy room, they no longer are forced to relive them when they are trying to sleep, be with their children, and live their lives.

Beyond processing trauma, trauma recovery involves imagination. People begin to build new social connections, develop new passions, and reimagine what their lives can look like. Many find ways to express what they experience through writing, art, volunteer work, and other creative outlets.

The process of trauma therapy is different for everyone, but the research is clear: exposure is key.
